On this episode, Andrew is joined by special guest, Jordan Atin, Counsel at Hull & Hull LLP which has offices in both Toronto and Oakville. Jordan was called to the bar in 1993 and is the founder and lead instructor of The Institute for Wills & Estate Education. Jordan is also an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School and in 2004 he was appointed as one of Ontario’s first certified specialists in Estates and Trusts Law. Jordan joins Andrew to discuss the impact that family trusts can have on parties amidst their separation. Specifically, Jordan discusses some initial advice he gives regarding trusts when a couple first separates, when or if a trust may be used for support purposes, and how different types of trusts intersect with family law.
