On this episode, Andrew is joined by special guest, Robert (Bob) Klotz. Bob Klotz practices commercial litigation, debtor-creditor law and bankruptcy law at his Toronto firm, Klotz Associates. Bob is the author of Bankruptcy, Insolvency & Family Law, 2nd ed. (2001) and is the past editor of the National Creditor-Debtor Review.

His practice focuses on the intersection of personal bankruptcy law with family law, estates, tort litigation and civil litigation. He is a frequent speaker on the topic of personal bankruptcy to insolvency practitioners, family and estates lawyers, and judges, in Ontario and across Canada. He is a former Chair of the Insolvency Section of both the Ontario and Canadian Bar Association, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Practitioners (CAIRP).

Bob has an abiding interest in legislative reform in the insolvency field and has testified in Parliament on numerous occasions.

He served as an appointed member of the federal Personal Insolvency Task Force, whose recommendations formed part of the 2007 amendments to the BIA.

In his spare time he plays with his grandson, Riley (age 3½ , very cute), and plays jazz, rock and folk music on the flute, alto flute and piano.
