You use this form to respond to an application filed against you by another party (the “applicant”). Use it to oppose any claims the applicant has made.
You may also use it to make your own family law claims (e.g. for a divorce, custody or access, support, property and/or restraining order) against the applicant.
Note that you only have 30 days from the date on which you were served with the application to file your answer. If you don’t file your answer within the 30 days, the case can go ahead without you and the court may make an order and enforce it.
