You do not need to go back to court.
According to s. 13(1) of the Family Responsibility and Support Arrears Enforcement Act, 1996, S.O. 1996, c. 31 a support order made by a court in a province or territory outside of Ontario (AKA a “reciprocating” jurisdiction) that is registered under s. 19(1) of the Interjurisdictional Support Orders Act, 2002 S.O. 2002, c. 13 may be filed with the FRO and enforced as if it were ordered by a court in Ontario.
The parties may choose to waive this right by providing notice with the order stating specifically that it shall not be enforced in any other jurisdiction.
The Interjurisdictional Support Orders Act, 2002 does not apply to Quebec.
