At Feldstein Family Law Group, our focus is attending to clients’ needs and making the divorce process as easy and stress free as possible.  We are always looking for new ways to better our firm and improve client services. 

Feldstein’s lawyers and support staff understand the importance of adopting sustainable and effective technology which both benefits the client and reduces our environmental impact. In 2010-2011, Feldstein Family Law Group went to great lengths to convert to a paper-free filing system, saving substantial amounts of paper which in turn reduced time and costs to clients. 

Now, Feldstein Family Law Group has become the first Family Law Firm in Ontario to adopt Extranet technology.  Beginning in August 2012, clients who have retained Feldstein Family Law Group will be able to access their documents on our website using Extranet from Legal Anywhere. 

Legal Anywhere, a Portland, Oregon-based company, allows lawyers to collaborate by sharing documents, manage cases, and connect with clients.  Extranet provides clients with a secure workplace where they can readily access information and documentation critical to their case file simply by going on our website. 

This system allows lawyers at Feldstein Family Law Group to share documents with clients without the need for email or faxes.  In certain instances, opposing counsel will also be able to access draft agreements and disclosure, streamlining the process and cost to the client. 

For clients, having all information in one place not only simplifies the process, but ensures that all documents remain organized and up-to-date on your file. Although emails will not be automatically uploaded, clients will have the option of uploading their emails to the website as well.   

Through Legal Anywhere’s stringent security features and encryption, Feldstein Family Law Group can control the level of user access, so that clients never need to worry about client confidentiality.  Extranet provides a secure platform where lawyers and clients can review and revise documents, track feedback/comments and review an “audit trail” that tracks who has reviewed the document.  Extranet technology not only makes the process more collaborative, but also more efficient.

Once clients have retained Feldstein Family Law Group, they will receive an Extranet confidential User ID and temporary password.   It is imperative the clients maintain the confidentiality of their User ID and password.  Clients should not share this information with third parties under any circumstance.  Although passwords must be changed at least once per year, Feldstein Family Law Group recommends that passwords be changed every 60 days, as an added precaution.  Temporary passwords will be changed the first time that a client logs onto the Extranet.

Divorce can be difficult, but interacting with your lawyer, finalizing legal documents, and staying organized doesn’t have to be.
